GETTING INVOLVED AT PRODIGAL
While Prodigal is still developing as a young church, we invite you to be an integral part of the special things that we know God is doing here. We believe that is exactly what Jesus intended for His followers and for His Church. As you engage in your daily life and dive a little bit deeper into this church, consider these different area to team up with so that you can be a part of Prodigal's kingdom work.
GROUPS | We believe life is best done with others. Groups are how we build community at Prodigal and are the best way to meet new friends, grow in your relationship with God, know your Prodigal family at a more intimate level, and make a difference in one another's lives. You’ll get a chance to do life with people who care about your day to day needs as well as your spiritual life, and are invested in who you are, at whatever place you may be coming from. Groups are a place for vulnerability and honest conversations, where we share in one another's joys and challenges.
TEAMS | At Prodigal, there is no distinction between those who run the church and those who attend church. It’s simple: We need and want you to play your part in being in the body of Christ! As we join in what God is doing, it takes a lot of people to pull off what we do, and that’s kind of the beautiful thing about it. We have several volunteer teams in different areas — Connections, Set-Up, Kids Ministry, Decor, Prayer, and more — so just let us know what you might be interested in and we’ll get you connected!
SOUL CARE | Christianity, first and foremost, is about the state of the heart. It is not primarily about doing good, sinning less, following rules, or meeting expectations. It is about reconciliation with a loving Father and receiving healing from Him as your heart is renewed and your life transformed. The most important thing we can do as a church is care for one another’s souls. We’re here if you need to rest, to wrestle, to connect with the Father, or simply to have another person to listen to you.
FAMILY | The goal of Prodigal Church's family ministry is to love kids and invest in families. We offer a kids’ program for infants through elementary school that includes singing and dancing, Bible stories, and activities during our Sunday morning service so that parents and children can encounter Jesus Christ in their own distinct ways. We believe that kids are valuable in the eyes of God and can experience Him in a real and powerful way, so that their faith may grow. We believe it is the role of the church to invest in one another's children so that they may be raised in the knowledge of God's love and goodness.
